P.E Nation is riding the perfect wave into the new season. Coast to coast, the tide is rising and we’re on board. The lesson is finding it’s connection. This season, fashion favours the bold and there’s a winning combo – a neon pink performance fabric tee teamed back with a fluro light weight crunchy short. Playful customised prints feature heavily across the range. An all over graffiti print pleated mid-length skirt is styled back with a mesh skivvy top, similar scribbles feature on a relaxed drop shoulder sweat and cropped boxy tee.
The label, which is the go-to for active-streetwear with an effortless tomboy disposition, has elevated it’s take on athleisure this season. You’d be forgiven if you thought it had expanded into a bonified ready to-wear, active-street line. In fact, it’s just a reflection of activewear becoming part of everyday, the line is blurring and sportwear is new the norm, it’s the daily uniform. High performance legs that hug the contours of your body comfortably, are seen in mid and high-rise waist bands, designed to move with your body in any and every sweat session. There is an essential legging for everyone this season - logo lovers delight in colour blocked graphic options, While minimalists can slip into wardrobe staple designs that feature P.E Nation’s signature pop colour and cover stitch detailing.
With a nod to the USA, active sets are seen with subtle hints of stars and stripes. Sportswear mesh monochrome tops and tee’s, buttery and powder blue longer line tanks and P.E Nation heritage stipe boxy tees round out the top offering.
As you have become to anticipate by P.E Nation, this collection is nostalgic – and the varsity quilted bomber jacket with shearling sleeves & embroidery stich work will have you thinking this was the one your crush wore back at college.
Just as you’d expect, there’s always a little something borrowed-from-the boys and this season, tailoring makes its debut in the Carabiner Pant – relaxed fit with contrast spray panels and adjusted able draw cords - this bonded spray pant is complemented by a tailored trench – that will become the P.E piece you’ll never let go of.
Pep up your activewear rotation with the new light weight running spray jacket, high-neck racer back sports bra, scuba style shapewear leggings and basketball infused mesh knitwear pieces.
Coast Rider is for the girl that gets up early, stays up late. She’s flipping from hardcore active to high fashion active-street, all-day everyday. The new seasons active-street memo? The clash - it’s busy, it’s punchy, it’s connected – it’s P.E Nation.
P.E NATION was concepted in Sydney, Australia by Pip Edwards and Claire Tregoning. P.E NATION is for ALL women, ALL Day, EVERY day. Women are encouraged to JOIN THE NATION, to FEEL included in the P.E mission, to shape the way you live; to FEEL that warm welcome, to ride the journey with the brand, and never look back. Where women can be fit, strong, bold, individual, fun and independent yet supported, and part of a movement of like-minded women doing life, just like you.
Since its launch in March 2016, the brands’ street-meets-sportswear offering has expanded to include extremely technical active wear, nostalgic 90’s streetwear, performance snow gear, accessories, fashion denim and now, a basics range. Always in constant motion, and moving at lightning speed, 2019, sees the expansion of the product categories, exclusive capsules, many global initiatives and like-minded brand collaborations for P.E NATION.
P.E NATION was born from a universal need for multi-faceted active wear, given the global shift towards juggling a fast pace life. The lifestyle trend of women wearing active wear all day, showcased an actual gap in the market, highlighting the need for fashion-active wear: active wear, that is design-driven and led by relevant global fashion trends, with curated seasonal colours, and considered silhouettes, styled and outfitted in a fashionable way, yet working with key performance fabrications and technical properties attributed to sportswear. Couple this, with a distinct and signature aesthetic, that is highly recognisable and un-wavering, and a clear vision and voice for the brand, this has been the very basis of building and creating one of the most coveted and adaptable active wear labels, that is disrupting the global athleisure market, taking on the international scene with verve.
The P.E NATION philosophy is centred around quality design and construction, whilst offering fashion forward, comfortable and fashionable pieces, specifically designed to take you from the studio to street. The brand reflects a sense of strength in unity and community, encouraging women to find their passion and flair and celebrate an active way of life. P.E NATION. Active-streetwear for urban life, lived at fast-pace. Designed to perform, all day, every day.
Welcome to the Nation.
With an impressive history in Fashion and a Bachelor of Commerce/Law, Pip's longstanding career has seen her work in PR and Design for Ksubi, whilst also being a freelance stylist with DLM - before landing her Senior Creative and Accessories Designer role at sass & bide. This is where her creative working relationship, and friendship, with P.E co-founder, Claire Tregoning, was cemented. It was only after Edwards made the pivotal move to General Pants Co as Design Director, that she was able to fully grasp and understand the retail landscape. She's now made a mark, utilising her own name sake initials and retro-tomboy style, to launch P.E Nation.
With a celebrated and longstanding career in fashion, Claire hails from a background of fashion and textile design. Shortly after graduation, Claire landed her first role with TopShop in London. After 2 years, she embarked on a solo journey and launched Maise - her own ready-to-wear label focusing on fashion and denim - this successful venture for Claire lead to her appointment as Senior Designer at sass & bide - Denim and Knitwear Specialist. sass & bide laid the organic foundation for what would become the ultimate C.T and P.E creative hub. It was only a matter of time and so fitting, that Claire and Pip would join forces to pursue their own vision, a shared vision of P.E Nation.
